Virginia Captures Invite

The Virginia Blue Devils took home their own invitational golf tournament Last week at the Blue Devils garnered the top three spots Andy Sederlund had the low round of the day with a 68.

The Devils’ Alex Lackner and Louie Judnick each carded 72, to take second and third place at the event the home team won by 24 strokes over Duluth East. Eveleth-Gilbert shot a 316 to finish third.

“I am really pleased with how hard the boys have worked on their games,’’ Virginia head coach Kerry Bidle said. “I’m even more impressed with how they have improved their mental games. The hard work and dedication is really paying off right now.’’
