Hermantown Continues To Roll

The Hermantown Hawks continue to roll as they tallied 3 more wins on Thursday afternoon. First, they finished a game against Ashland that was suspended because of weather, which saw Hermantown win 21-2. They then toppled the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers 16-4, followed by a 23-6 win over Hibbing.

The winning pitcher against Ashland was Breanna Thomas who pitched 5 innings, fanning 5 and allowed 2 earned runs. Brooke Dahlin led the offense by going 3-3 with a home run and 3 RBIs. Al Samberg also went 3-3 and drove in 2 runs.

Courtney Martin was the winning pitcher over Duluth Marshall. She allowed 5 hits in 5 innings pitched, walking 5 and giving up 4 earned runs. Tess Johnson went 4-4 with an RBI and Dahlin went 3-4 with a double and 2 RBIs.

In the win over Hibbing, Kylie Hoff pitched 5 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits and striking out 2 as she recorded the win. Kailey Mihalik went 3-4 with a double, 2 RBI’s, and 3 runs. Jillayne Gibert had 2 doubles while going 3-5 with 4 RBI’s in the victory.

 

Hermantown improves to 12-4 and will face Greenway and Grand Rapids in a double header on May 16th to end their regular season.
