Lady Rebels Edges Bombers 4-2

The MLWR Lady Rebels and Barnum Bombers played a tight game on a chilly Tuesday evening. The Bombers would fall to the Rebels by a 4-2 score.

Getting the win for the Rebels was Ally Bodie who pitched a complete game. She allowed 2 runs on 7 hits and struck out 10 in the victory. The offense for the Rebels was propelled by Nikki Grutkowski who went 2-3 with a double and drove in 2 runs. Bodie also got her had in on offense, also going 2-3 with a double and driving in a single run.

Taking the loss for the Bombers was Lauren Hultgren who pitched 6 innings surrounding 4 runs on 8 hits and racking up 6 K’s in the box score. Kamille Korpela went 3-3 for Barnum and Emma Koski went 1-3 with a double which drove in both of the Bomber runs on the evening.

MLWR improves to 4-1 on the season and is scheduled to play the Silver Bay Mariners at home on May 7th. The Bombers drop to 1-3 on the year and will look to bounce back against the South Ridge Panthers on May 8th.
