Bombers top Rebels

Chris Carlson went 4-4 Tuesday afternoon and pitched six solid innings as the Barnum Bombers defeated the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels by a score of 7-1 in Barnum Tuesday afternoon.

Chris Carlson had 2 singles and 2 doubles and scored one run to help the Bombers to the six run victory.  Carlson also pitched six innings gave up three hits and allowed only one run in the victory.

The Bombers scored four runs in the bottom of the third innings as the Bombers started the third inning with four straight hits and a big blow coming from Zac Carlson with a 2 run single.

The Bombes finished with 9 hits on the day, besides Chris Carlson and his four hits, Colton and Thomas Zeigler both added hits, as did Nathan Duesler, Tory Slater and Zac Carlson.

Jesse Granfors finished with 2 of the 3 Rebel hits on the day and he also finished with 3 stolen bases. Wyatt Lampel had the other base hit for the Rebels in the loss.

Barnum moves to 2-0 on the season and they will face South Ridge on Thursday at Barnum. The Rebels fall to 3-3 overall and they will take on Cook County Thursday afternoon in Grand Marais.
