Macor’s 16 K’s Propel Carlton

The Carlton Bulldogs and the Barnum Bombers faced off in a Polar League matchup on Monday. The Bulldogs would win the close game 4-2 behind a dominating pitching performance from Grace Macor.

Macor would get the win for the Bulldogs pitching the complete game, allowing 2 runs of 4 hits and striking out an impressive 16 batters. Myranda Papesh would propel the offense by going 3-4 with a double and scoring twice. Macor also got in on the offensive side driving in a run and hitting a triple.

Lauren Hultgren took the loss for the Bombers, pitching 6 innings, surrendering 4 runs on 7 hits and striking out 5. Emma Koski hit a double and drove in a run. Fallon Bowen also drove in a run for the Bombers.

The Bulldogs improve to a perfect 7-0 on the year and will play the Silver Bay Mariners on May 8th. The Bombers drop to 1-2 on the season and will play the MLWR Rebels on May 6th.
