Lady Bulldogs Win 5th Straight

The Carlton Lady Bulldogs won their 5th straight game on Thursday afternoon, topping the Cromwell Cardinals 12-1 in 5 innings.

Grace Macor would tally another victory as she got the win after going 4 innings, and allowing only 1 run on no hits. She would strike out 10 and walk 3 in the victory. Hannah Mitchell came in relief for the Bulldogs and pitched the final inning, completing the combined no hitter for the Bulldogs. The offense was led by Myranda Papesh who went 2 for 2 with a double, drove in 1 run and stole 5 bases. Stacy Nelson also went 2-2 and she would steal 4 bases of her own. Hannah Benson and Macor would both go 2-3. Benson drove in 3 runs and had a stolen base and Macor drove in 2. The Bulldogs would steal 24 bases total in the victory.

Taking the loss for the Cardinals was Kaylan Risacher. The Cardinals offense did not manage to get a hit in the 5 innings of the game.

The Bulldogs improve to 5-0 on the season and will play on the road against the Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars on May 2nd. The Cardinals fall to 0-4 on the season and will look for their first victory on May 2nd when they play the Two Harbors Agates.
