Game 2: CSS 15, Crown 8
The Storm jumped out to an 8-1 lead after three innings in game two before the Saints scored 14 runs over the last four innings to win 15-8.

After the Saints scored an unearned run in the top of the first, the Storm scored three runs in the bottom of the frame to take a 3-1 lead.

Crown scored four more runs in the second and added another in the third, making it 8-1 after three innings. The Storm scored the eight runs without recording a single extra-base hit.

The CSS offense woke up in the top of the fourth. After a Crown error began the inning, Kasandra McCabe (St. Peter, Minn./St. Peter HS) roped a double to make it 8-2. Another Storm error brought in another run and two batters later Hudack had a two-run single to make it 8-5. McGuiness drove in another run and Hudack scored on a double steal to make it 8-7. Nikki Logergren (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Northern Stars)) had a sacrifice fly and McCabe had another RBI to give CSS a 9-8 lead after the inning was over.

The Saints tacked on six more runs in the final three innings. Logergren had a pair of RBI doubles and McCabe drove in a third run during that stretch to make the final score 15-8. The Storm did not get a hit the final four innings.

McGuiness pitched six innings in relief and struck out five, while allowing only three hits. Logergren and McCabe each had three hits and three RBIs. Warren also had three hits in the win.
