MINNESOTA WILDERNESS MILITARY APPRECIATION WEEKEND

                                                                                                                                                                                

(Cloquet, MN) — The Minnesota Wilderness, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) is holding a weekend series representing Military Appreciation sponsored by Northwoods Credit Union. The Wilderness will be wearing specialty jerseys for their upcoming home series against the Coulee Region Chill, Thursday through Saturday. All active and veteran Military members will get in free to all three games of the Military Appreciation series.

The jerseys worn by the players will be auctioned off and the proceeds will be donated to local Military Families. Nordic Auction will be there to auction off the jerseys in between the second and third periods Friday night and after the game. Also, Saturday the auction will take place in between periods and after the game. Purchased jerseys will be able to be picked up Saturday after the game.

Friday night local singer Tom Cawcutt will be leading the National Anthem along with the Washington Elementary Kindergarten class. There will also be a Color Guard presentation before the game and a special singing ceremony after the first period.

The Minnesota Wilderness is in its’ first season in the North American Hockey League. The Wilderness clinched a playoff berth after their weekend series in Bismarck where they earned three points on the weekend. They are based in Cloquet, MN and play their home contests at Northwoods Credit Union Arena.
