Eskomos Breeze Past Vikings

The Esko Eskomos girls basketball team hosted the Cook County Vikings on Tuesday night in a Polar League matchup. The Eskomos would take the match up with a large 68-30 victory.

The game was a 42-19 advantage in favor of the Eskomos at half and they would never look back as they would go on to outscore them 26-11 in the second half securing the victory.

Helping the Eskomos to the victory was Kailee Katt with a team high 12 points. Also getting into the box score for Esko was  Erika Shady, Kailee Kiminski, and Hailey Salo who all hit 8 points in the victory. Judy Wagemaker hit 7 on the night, Bailey Mudek and Ava Gonsorowski both notched 6, Karlie Kulas added 5, Ashley Bergerson and Selena Shady had 3 a piece and Mandi Dincau topped it off with 2.

In the loss for the Vikings, Lily Gruber-Schulz had 9, Essance Haines scored 7, Breana Peterson and Suzy Burton added 5 a piece, and Trace McQuatters and Emily Jacobsen rounded the scoring off with 2 a piece.

The Eskomos improve to 18-4 on the season and will battle with the MLWR Rebels (17-5) on February 20th. The Vikings fall to 5-11 on the season and will look to bounce back on February 21st when they take on the Floodwood Polar Bears (12-10) on the road.
