Bjorn Broman joined an exclusive club on Tuesday night, being only the 8th player in state history to notch an 1,000 point season. 3 of those 8 seasons belonged to his older brother, Anders, but with his graduating last year, Bjorn has stepped it up in the scoring category. Broman would get over the 1,000 point milestone in a 68-61 victory over the Cook County Vikings.

The Vikings would hold the advantage at the half, leading 40-36 but the Lions would come storming back and outscore the Vikings 32-21 to secure the victory.

The Lions were led by Broman who notched a game high 37 points in the win including hitting 5 from deep. Also scoring for the Lions was Josh Klun with 12, Marc Chiu adding 9, Josh Emerson notching 6, and Ben Erickson and Alec Johnson topping it off with 2 points a piece.

In the loss for the Vikings, Brandon Curtis had a nice 33 point performance, Lars Scannell pitched in 10, Jamie Wick scored 8, Jonny Jacobsen tallied 6, and Richie Furlong and Rory Bakke rounded it out with 2 each.

The Lions improve to 7-18 on the season and will look to end the regular season with a win when they travel to play the Silver Bay Mariners (3-17) on February 21st. The game will start at 6:30 PM. The Vikings drop to 5-11 on the year and will match up with the Floodwood Polar Bears (17-6) on February 21st.
