LSC 2010 All-Conference Softball Team Announced

The Lake Superior Conference has selected their All-Conference teams and the Hermantown Hawks headline the first team with a trio of stars.

Megan Mullen, who has been the top pitcher in northern Minnesota, was joined on the first team by teammates Julia Gilbert and Ellen Folman.

Cloquet was well represented with senior outfielder Courtney Esse and sophomore shortstop Dalyce Gustafson being named to the team.

Denfeld and Central also had two players each named to the squad with Kaitlin Bagley and Nikki Logergren from the Hunters making first team and the Trojans’ Sarah Hendrickson and Molly Jadzewski finishing out the squad.

Rudi Summers of Hermantown, Shania Paulson of Cloquet, Ally Sweeney of Central, Meghan Steel and Melinda Nelson of Proctor, Cassy O’Neill and Alayna Moe of Superior and Denfeld’s Katherine Andreiko and Kara Warren were all named 2nd Team All-Conference.

Rachel Smith and Lizz Jezierski of Cloquet were both named honorable mention. Central also had a pair of players Melissa Jarvi and Gina Johnson, while Denfeld’s Jessie Havron and Steph Thun of Hermantown also were named honorable mention.
