Panthers Win 11th Straight

The South Ridge Panthers have been on a roll as of late, with their last loss coming over a month ago on January 11th. Last night the Panthers would notch their 11th straight victory when they toppled the North Woods Grizzlies 79-68.

The Panthers would lead at halftime, 40-35 and would go on to outscore the Grizzlies in the second half 39-33 to ensure the victory on the evening.

The Panthers were lead by a balanced attack of Dominic Janke, Kody Karppinen, and Colton Peterson. Janke had a team high 21 points, Karppinen added 20 in the win, and Peterson scored 19. Also scoring in the victory was Drew Janke with 9, Bill Redding scoring 8, and Zach Johnson rounding it out with 2.

In the loss for the Grizzlies, Darnell Goggleye had a game high 31 points. Jaylen Strong pitched in 9, Cole Martin scored 8, Christian Bloom and Travis Hooper each tallied 6, Hank Halverson scored 5, and Spencer Viita topped it off with 3.

The Panthers improve to 18-3 on the season and will play the Cromwell Cardinals (5-16) on February 17th. The Grizzlies fell to 11-10 on the season.
