Wrens Shoot By Eagles

The Wrenshall Wrens traveled to pay the East Central Eagles on Thursday night and it was the Wrens that would come out victorious with the 70-48 win.

The Wrens grabbed the 33-20 lead at the half and would outscore the Eagles 37-28 in the second half to ensure the victory on the night.

Leading the way for the Wrens was Jared Kittel who scored 22 points. Marcus Virginia added 16 and Jessie Ellerbe scored 10 in the win. Hunter Pauley added 7, Aaron Adkins added 5, Andrew Frank scored 4, Luke Vine and Jonathan Powers each notched 2, and Trent Olson topped it off with 1.

In the loss for the Eagles, Traivon Lee had 10, Connor Gafkjen and Demetri Norgaard each scored 9, Colton Nelson and Kaleb McCulloch scored 6, Nate Ecklund notched 3 Seth Clennon and Vincent Sewell scored 2, and Korben Palmer topped it off with 1.

The Wrens improve to 9-7 on the season and will play the Esko Eskomos (16-3) on January 31st. The Eagles fall to 5-9 on the year and will play the Isle Huskies (8-9) on February 3rd.
