Barnum Welcomes Home State Champs

BARNUM – Not unlike the state tournament games in Minneapolis, the entire Barnum community turned out to welcome home the 2010 Minnesota Class A Girls State Champions, the Lady Bombers, on Sunday evening in Barnum.

When introduced, the team received a standing ovation and loud round of applause in the welcome home ceremony. Assistant coach Jerry Erickson introduced each member of the team individually and spoke of their contributions to the team. Head coach Randy Myhre talked about the experience and what the unparalleled amount of community support meant to the team.

Lots have been written in the last few days about the championship run by many organizations including Northland Sports Online. Rather than trying to explain this historic run in words, NSO would like to congratulate the Lady Bombers and the entire Barnum Community by offering a look back through photos of the historic run.
