Cloquet Boys Get 80-64 Win Over Hibbing

The Cloquet boys stood victorious as they closed out there regular season at home. It was a big section win when they beat the Hibbing Bluejackets 80-64 because it secures the #2 seed for the Lumberjacks in the upcoming Section 7AA boys basketball tournament. The boys play Wednesday night at home to start the section tournament.

The Lumberjacks built a halftime lead of 31-40 by shooting almost 50% in the first half. They continued to shoot well in the second half, going 55% to notch the 16-point win.

The Hibbing Bluejackets were led by Logan Coleman with 22 points, Connor Perry with 12, Ezra Coughlin and Evan Lister each with 9 points, followed by Matt Tourville with 8. Dallas Coleman and Chris Hanson rounded out the scoring with 2 points each.

The Lumberjacks were led by Chad Calcaterra with 29 points on the evening. RaRa Jones followed with 14, Peter LaCourse with 13, Tim Defoe with 10, Zach Zezulka and Andrew Wappes with 6. Ben Shultz rounded out the scoring with 2 points.
