LSC Girls All-Conference Team Named

The Lake Superior conference announced their 2009-2010 girls basketball All-Conference selections with several NSO area players receiving honors.

Confirming the LSC has two of the best post players in the area. Annabel Morrisroe of Cloquet and Hermantown’s Jessica Love were selected to the first team. Morrisroe led a Lumberjacks team that lost three starters from last year’s squad to double digit wins. Love’s inside presence was a big factor in helping Hermantown to 15 regular season wins. These two will compete against each other when Hermantown hosts Cloquet in first round playoff action Tuesday, March 2 at 7:00pm

Hawk’s junior Mary Neumann received second team honors. Love’s teammate, senior point guard Nichole Niemi was awarded honorable mention. Also named honorable mention were Cloquet seniors Katie Pappas and Brianna Henagin.
