South Ridge topples Cook County.

Tuesday night, the South Ridge Panthers would take on the Cook County Vikings in a Polar League matchup, with the Panthers coming out on the winning side, 87-44.

The Panthers would get off to a very quick start grabbing a large lead at halftime of 51-20 and they would never look back from there. They would go on to outscore the Vikings in the second half of the game, 36-24 en route to the 87-44 victory.

Leading the way for the Panthers was Drew Janke, who lead all scorers with 22 points. Colten Peterson would pitch in a big effort of 18 points, followed by Kody Karppinen who added 16 points. Also in the victory, Bill Redding would have 10 points, Dominic Janke had 8, Jake Carlson added 6 to the scoreboard, Brody Denny, Scott Sowers, and Levi McGraw would all have 2, and Zach Johnson would round it out with 1 point,

In the loss for the Vikings, Brandon Curtis would have 14, Lars Scannell would punch in 11, Jonny Jacobsen would have 6 points, Jamie Wick would have 5, Richie Furlong would add 4, and Leo Johnson and Seth Warren would each have 2 points.

In the win the Panthers improve to 3-1 on the young season and is back in action on Tuesday, December 17th when they travel to Wrenshall. The Cook County Vikings fall to 0-3 on the year and will host the Two Harbor Agates on Friday, December 13th.
