Floodwood’s fast Start downs Dogs

The Floodwood Polar Bears started fast Friday night as the Polar Bears knocked off the Carlton Bulldogs 82-40 in a Polar League Conference match up at Carlton High School.

Riley Bernsdorf started fast as he would finish with 24 points to led the Polar Bears to the win, Bernsdorf led five Polar Bear players who finished in double figures Friday night.

Floodwood started fast Friday as they cruised to a 48-20 halftime lead, the Polar Bears continued in the second half as they finished with the 42 point win.

Willow Christenson followed Bernsdorf in scoring as he added 15 points, Ryder Lough and Kyle Tamminen each added 11, and Damien Autio finished with 10 points for Floodwood.

Carlton was led by Adam Ermatinger who finished with a game high 25 points for the Bulldogs, and Cade Pierson added 10 points in the Carlton loss.

Carlton falls to 0-3 on the season and they will be in action again next Friday night when they will face Wrenshall in a contest for the Little Brown Jug in Wrenshall.

Floodwood improves to 2-0 on the season and they will face the Northwoods Grizzles next Friday night in Cook.
