A four-goal third period helped the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls hockey team take a 6-3 win over Proctor-Hermantown on Thursday night in Cloquet at Northwoods Credit Union Arena.

PH led the game 1-0 after one period on a goal by Katie McKinzie.  Kaley Buhr tied the score for the Jacks at 8:06 of the second period, but Brielle Larson gave the Mirage a 2-1 lead on the power play just two and a half minutes later.

The Jacks tied the game at 2-2 at 11:42 on a goal by Jade Alvilar with an assist to Courtney Ketola and that’s how the second period ended.

CEC went on the power play early in the third period and it didn’t take long for them to take the lead.  At 1:43 it was Ashley Krisak jamming home a rebound from Kaitlyn Miller that pushed the lead to 3-2.  CEC then got back-to-back goals from Kayla Baker at 4:21 and 12:20 to move the lead to 5-2.
