Girls Basketball

Cloquet 53 Denfeld 37

The Cloquet Lumberjacks jumped out to an early lead and didn’t look back, winning this one by 16 points. Cloquet led by as many as 22 points in the second half. Annabel Morrisroe scored 15 points in the win for Cloquet. Leah Hamm scored 13 points to lead the Hunters.

Esko 80 MLWR 50

The Eskomos had two scorers with over twenty points to lead them to the Polar League win at home on Thursday. Amanda Bergstedt had a game high of 27 and Keely Deadrick added 23. Taryn Davis led ML-WR with 18 on the night.

Carlton 60 AlBrook 49

Despite being in foul trouble most of the game, the Carlton Bulldogs took a 36-24 halftime lead and went on to win by 11 points at home this past Thursday. Sarah Aili led the Bulldogs in scoring with 18 points on the night.

Hermantown 55 Proctor 27

The Hermantown Hawks used a balanced scoring attack Thursday night to defeat the hosting Proctor Rails. Jessica Love scored 15 points to lead Hermantown. Lindsey Verhel scored 6 for the Rails.

Two Harbors 61 Cromwell 43

Abby Ray scored 27 points Thursday night as the Two Harbors Agates downed the Cromwell Cardinals in this Polar League match-up. The Agates led 33-22 at half and extended their margin to win by 19. Aly Cahoon scored 14 in the loss for Cromwell.
