Boys Basketball

Moose Lake-Willow River 71 Hermantown 65

The Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels led by four points at halftime and withstood a late charge by Hermantown to win by six at home. Trevor Nummela and Austin Jacobson both scored 15 points in the win for the Rebels. Michael Swartz would lead all scorers with 21 points for the Hermantown Hawks.

AlBrook 75 Wrenshall 62

The AlBrook Falcons would even their regular season record at 2-2 Thursday night as the Falcons downed the Wrens by 13 in Wrenshall. After dropping the first two games of the season, the Falcons now look to make a run at the conference title after winning their last two games. Wrenshall falls to 0-3 on the season.

Girls Basketball

Marshall 56 Wrenshall 27

The Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers got their first win of the season over the Wrenshall Wrens at Marshall High School on Thursday. Asha Urban, Tarin Hedquist and Signe Braafladt would lead the Toppers in scoring with ten points each on the night. Maria Burcar led the Wrens in scoring, also finishing with 10 points.

Superior 75 Proctor 16

The Superior Spartans beat the Proctor Rails Thursday night at Superior Senior High School in a LSC match-up. The Spartans jumped out early and built a huge lead going into the break at halftime. The Rails fall to 1-5 overall on the season. Aubrey Knox led the Rails with 6 points.
