Esko scored twice in both the first two quarters of the game and then went on cruise control in a 46-6 win over Rush City in high school football on Wednesday night.

Marc Peterson hooked up with Jaxson Turner on a 67 yard touchdown pass and Brandt Hintsala cashed in at the end of a four yard run as Esko built a 15-0 lead in the first quarter.  John Carr added the extra point kick on the Turner score and David Beldon added a two-point conversion run on the Carr score for the Eskomos.

In the second quarter the Eskomos got back-to-back touchdown runs of two and five yards by Carr, and Carr then added both extra point kicks, as Esko built a 29-0 halftime lead.

Neither team scored in the third quarter, but Esko went ahead 36-0 when Cole Litsey took a blocked punt 10 yards for a touchdown and Carr knocked the extra point kick through the uprights.

Rush City cut the gap to 36-6 in the fourth quarter on a one yard run by Brandon Koehrie run, but Nick Emanuel bolted 60 yards to paydirt for Esko later in the quarter and Carr booted the extra point kick for a 43-6 victory for the Eskomos.

Esko finished the regular season at 5-3 and was named the #2 seed in the Section 7AAA football tournament.  That #2 seed means the Eskomos will host Virginia on Tuesday evening in Esko.  The Blue Devils are 0-8 on the season.
