Hermantown Sweeps Superior

The Hermantown Hawks girls tennis team has started off this fall sports season on a hot streak, as the Hawks shut out Superior Thursday afternoon in Hermantown when the Hawks beat Superior by a score of 7-0.

Hermantown got singles victories from Mariah Ruhanen, Maddy Miller, Bailey O’Connell, and from Becca Henningson.

In doubles action again the Hawks swept through the doubles competition with wins from Danielle Luke & Bri Garcia-Meyers in the number one doubles, Liz Carlson and Jordan Curva won the second doubles, and the last double match was won by Elizabeth Heehn and Stephanie Collins.

The Hawks with the win improve to 3-6 overall on the season and they are back in action again on Monday when they host Virginia at Hermantown High School. Superior is back in action next Tuesday when they host Duluth Marshall.
