High school fall sports teams are practicing in full stride. The Moose Lake Willow River Rebels and the East Central Eagles sports teams began practices in early August.

The Rebels look to get back to the state tournament for an 8th consecutive time. Head coach Dave Louzek also goes for an 8th Polar League title in a row.

Third year head coach Becky Jackson leads the MLWR volleyball team. They are looking to improve for a third straight season.

Adam Whalen returns for his second year as head coach for boys and girls cross country teams. He coached a couple of runners to last years state tournament and looks to send more.

East Central teams also started practicing with football head coach Darren Kvam, volleyball coach Denice Miller and cross country coach Bill Groskreutz.
