Golf Event Supports Esko Athletics

The Cloquet Country Club hosted the annual Bob Thompson Memorial – Esko Sports Alliance fundraiser on Saturday. The event raised approximately $8,500 for Esko athletics.

Sinnot Blacktop took 1st place at 13 under par (58). Second place went to team Poppenberg and in tenth place was team Bertogliat. There were ten proximity prizes awarded, one of which, closest to the pin on # 13, went to Mike Devney.

All proceeds support Esko Athletics and include Boys and Girls athletic scholarships, the Bob Thompson memorial scholarship, an end of the year team banquet contribution, provide all post season awards, etc…

Next year’s event is tentatively set to take place on September 11th, 2010. The Esko Sports Alliance would like to thank everyone who participated and donated to the fantastic event!
