Zyvoloski Named AVCA All-Region for Second Straight Season

St. Scholastica senior Anna Zyvoloski (Sauk Rapids, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral HS (Minn.-Duluth)) has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III All-Central Region team for the second consecutive season; it was announced on Thursday.


Zyvoloski is the only CSS volleyball player in program history to earn AVCA All-Region First Team honors.


Zyvoloski, who was also named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Player of the Year for the second consecutive season today, is ninth in NCAA Division III with 4.32 kills per set and fifth with 5.12 points per set.


She led the conference with 454 kills and kills per set. Zyvoloski was second in the league with .299 hitting percentage and tops with 538 points and points per set. She also finished second in the league with 21 solo blocks and third with 43 service aces.


In the 30 matches this season, Zyvoloski recorded double-figures in kills in 27 of them and had 15 matches where she registered double-doubles in kills and digs. She led the team with 61 total blocks and 327 digs.


In only three years in a CSS uniform, Zyvoloski will finish fourth all-time with 1,445 career kills and 1,668.5 points. She will finish with the most kills (4.18) and points (4.82) per set in program history. Including her 322 kills in her one season at Minnesota-Duluth, Zyvoloski will finish with 1,767 kills in her collegiate career.


The UMAC was well-represented on the all-region team with Northwestern College’s Krista Stoltz and Kendra Korporal all being named to the team with Korporal named the AVCA Central Region Freshman of the Year.
