2012 LSC All-Conference Volleyball Team Announced

Katie Thun and Stephanie Kallberg of Hermantown lead a talented group of six players on the Lake Superior All-Conference volleyball team. The power hitting duo of the Hawks helped to propel Hermantown to the Lake Superior Conference title this season.

Joining the Hermantown pair was Cloquet super-setter Alex Oakes, who not only is a force in setting but also a talent back row and front row player. Jessica Lindstrom of Superior adds another overall talent to the squad as well as Casey Cashman of Ashland and Rebekah Overby of Denfeld.

Second team honors were led by Superior’s Alison Wainionpaa and Alex Olson along with Cloquet’s Sami Westendorf, Jessica Wasbotten of Hermantown, Ashland’s Breanna Hambuch and Denfeld’s Kiah Ziells.

Power hitter Olivia Mayasich of Cloquet leads the honorable mention team along with; Kaela Huber of Ashland, Gabby Igboko of Marshall, Holly Stanaway of Proctor and Denfeld’s Alexia Klaas.
