Carlton Girls Advance To Section 7A Semi-Finals

Carlton used a dominant overall game to hand Cromwell a 3-0 loss in Section 7A girls volleyball playoff action on Friday night. Playing in the sectional quarterfinals the Bulldogs came away with 25-12, 25-15 and 28-26 wins in Proctor over the Cards.

Leading the way at the net for the Bulldogs were Macy Belich and Clarissa Nelson, who each had 10 kills. Belich added 12 digs and Nelson finished with 16 digs and four ace serves to go along with her 10 kills. Grace Macor also added a solid night for the Bulldogs with five kills, 15 digs and five blocks.

Brittany Johnson led the Cards with 11 digs, eight kills and five ace serves. Joining Johnson were; Ann Collman with six digs and 100% serving and Kiiera Anderson added seven digs.

The #1 seeded Carlton Bulldogs improve to 21-7 on the season and will move on to the semi-finals on Wednesday in Virginia when they face #2 seed Littlefork-Bigfalls who have a 20-3 record on the season.
