It took a little while for the Proctor offense to find itself on Friday night, but when the Rails did get things going it was enough to sneak out a 19-12 win over International Falls in International Falls.

The Bronco’s led it 12-0 at halftime by way of scores from Austin Geiselhart and Jakob Ettestad. Geiselhart scored on a 13-yard pass from Gunnar Anderson and Ettestad on a five-yard pass from Nick Jantti. However, the Bronco’s missed both extra point conversion attempts, keeping things within reach for the Rails in the second half.

Proctor began their comeback in the third quarter with a Brodie Nordquist pass to Nate Layne which covered 14-yards to paydirt, cutting the lead to 12-6 after the missed extra point kick by the Rails. A few minutes later Nordquist found Cullen Curnow down field and Curnow went in from 18-yards out making it 12-12. Following Jack Nikko’s extra point kick the Rails were up 13-12.

The Rails closed out the scoring in the fourth quarter when Alex Greene scored on a 13-yard touchdown run making it 19-12, but again the conversion run was stymied by the Bronco’s.

Proctor is now 2-1 on the season.
