FDLTCC Quarterback Cody Anderson Named MCAC Player of the Week

Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Thunder Quarterback Cody Anderson was named Minnesota College Athletic Conference Northern Division Offensive Player of the Week for games played on the weekend of August 24-25, 2012.


Officially, Anderson was 14 of 20 in passing attempts for 282 yards and three touchdown passes in the Thunder’s 34-7 victory over Minnesota State-Fergus Falls in Cloquet last Friday. Cody is a sophomore from Alborn, Minnesota, and is a graduate of AlBrook High School.


The 2012 Thunder Football team opened the season last week with the win over Minnesota State-Fergus Falls, and travels to Worthington, Minnesota, this Saturday for a game against Minnesota West Community and Technical College. Minnesota West also won their season-opener, a 40-0 shutout over Itasca Community College.

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. The football conference includes 10 teams which are divided geographically into Northern and Southern Divisions.
