The Duluth Clydesdales are proud to announce that Aaron Haupert will take over the head coach position beginning immediately. Haupert is a 1999 graduate of Duluth Denfeld and played forward at Saint Mary’s University the following year.

Aaron worked his way up the ranks at SMU. He spent five years as the men’s junior varsity head coach/assistant varsity coach from 2000-2005 under Don Olson, and then spent another five years as an assistant with the women’s varsity squad under Terry Mannor. From there he moved back home to Duluth, where he spent a season as an assistant to Kevin Smalley at his alma mater before taking his most recent position as an assistant with Mark Wick’s St. Scholastica Saints.

Aaron is a USA Hockey Level 3 certified coach, and has coached and evaluated at many Minnesota Advanced Hockey Camps throughout the years. He is currently continuing his education as a veterinary technician at Duluth Business University and is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

A stalwart in his own zone defensively and playmaker offensively as a player, Aaron is sure to instill toughness and solid play in both ends of the rink with the Clydesdales.
