Austin Farley, who will join the University of Minnesota Duluth hockey program this fall, is one of 40 players who have been selected to take part in the first-ever CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game on Sept. 29 at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y.

The 40-man roster is comprised of the top American prospects eligible for the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft. It includes 24 forwards, 12 defensemen and four goaltenders.

Farley, a 5-8, 175-pound winger from Park Ridge, Ill., spent the past one-plus winters skating for the Fargo Force and, in 2011-12, paced that United States Hockey League franchise in scoring with 28 goals and 31 assists for 59 points in 51 regular season outings. He ranked second among all USHL combatants in shooting percentage (.277) last year and tied for eighth in both goals and power play scores (8).

Farley, the fifth Illinois native ever top enlist his services with the Bulldogs (current senior right winger Mike Seidel is among the other four), began the first half of the 2010-11 season with the Chicago Mission AAA midgets before joining forces with the Force in late November.
