Esko Pacesetter Girls Finish Second In Multi-State Tournament

The Esko Girls 7th Grade Travel Team took second place at the Pacesetter Great State Tournament held at Target Center on July 8th. The Great State Tournament takes the top 2 teams from the Pacesetter state tournaments held in Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota & Minnesota.


Esko beat the ND champions (Fordville-Lankin-Park River) and then beat the SD champions (Ethan). Esko lost in the championship game to the SD runner ups, Rapid City.


This tournament wraps up a long, exciting season which saw the team win 50 games over schools like Eden Prairie, Wayzata, Lakeville South, Fargo-Shanley, Superior, Duluth East, Northfield, Cottage Grove, Roseville, River Falls, Hudson & Grand Rapids.


Team members include: Ellie Chicos, Selena Shady, Ava Gonsorowski, Mackenzie Holland, Mandi Dincau, Cece Krause, Emily Rish, Karlie Kulas, Judy Wagemaker, and Arianna Murto. The team is coached by Mark Wagemaker, Andy “Kleetus” Kulas and Kelly Gonsorowsi.
