Kuhlman, Michaud, And Pionk Shine In Hockey’s Final 54

Last week Karson Kuhlman, Westin Michaud, and Neal Pionk were selected from a group of 640 hockey players to participate in the Reebok High Performance U17 hockey showcase final 54 in Plymouth MN from April 21-22. The three showed all in attendance it was no fluke they were chosen as part of the final 54 players with all three finding their way into the scorebooks.

In the first of three games in the series, Michaud’s white team played the red team of Pionk and Kuhlman. Michaud tallied two assists to help team white to a 9-5 victory. Kuhlman scored a goal and Pionk notched an assist for the U17 red team.

On Sunday Michaud scored on a penalty shot to help team white to a 6-2 victory over the HP16 team.

Also on Sunday the Red U17 team of Kuhlman and Pionk played an HP16 team with Kuhlman exploding for a hat trick in the contest. Pionk notched an assist in helping the red team to a 10-2 victory.

The top 16-25 players total will be chosen from the three HP16 and the three HP17 teams to compete on a national level.
