CHURCHILL- The “Do it Right” program in Cloquet Schools again celebrated a teacher versus seniors basketball game at both Washington and Churchill elementary schools. This program celebrates kids who choose to do things the right way at school.

Teacher-Staff basketball games were held at Washington School on Thursday March 22nd and at Washington on Friday March 23rd. In Thursday’s action, students and teachers witnessed an exciting triple overtime game between the students and the faculty.

Friday saw the teachers and staff from Churchill dominate the CHS seniors with two victories in two games at the Churchill gymnasium. The staff was led by hot outside shooting from Phil Beadle and a strong inside game from Heidi Anderson, and a rebounding machine in Cathy Schroeder.

“This is just great fun for both the teachers and the students” Churchill teacher Jeff Lindstrom told Northland Sports Online. “They missed so many shots inside, so I got to fire away from outside.” Lindstrom added. “All in all the kids love to see the seniors they have seen in sports and it’s nice to see our former students here as well”

Students participating in the Do it Right basketball game were Kellin Lamirande, Carrie Zeadow, Jon Scheuer, Trent Moe, Dalyce Gustafson, Micah Peterson, Landon Straub, Maddie Keihn, and Mikaela Dunaisky.

Staff from Churchill included, Phil Beadle, Betty Langenbrunner, Rick Sievert, Cathy Schroeder, Jeff

Lindstrom, Christy Burslie, David Wangen, Chris Carlson, Heidi Anderson, and Krusher Kilroy. Officials were former Churchill Alumni Tyler Korby and Andy Wappes.
