HIBBING – In a game for the ages, the Fond du Lac Ogichida gave it their all but lost a heartbreaker to North Woods in double overtime of the Section 7A Semi-Finals by a score of 75-71.

The Ogichida and Grizzlies battled back and forth in the first half with Fond du Lac going in down by eight, 40-32 at the half. Fond du Lac upped the tempo a bit and led 63-62 when Elijahjuan Dotts hit the second of two free throws with no time remaining to tie the game at 63 apiece and send it to overtime.

A single overtime session did not provide a winner, and with the game tied at 68, went into a second overtime where the Grizzlies outscored the Ogichida 7-3 for the 75-71 double overtime win.

Fond du Lac was led by Kello Brown, who finished with 32 points on the night to go with 15 rebounds. Trevonte Brown ended with 19, Bruce Martineau added 9, Lee St. John 6, Brian Rich 3, and Josyaah Budreau had 2 for the Ogichida, who finish the season 11-14 overall.

Dotts finished with 24 points for the Grizzlies and Jordan Villebrun added 14. The Grizzlies improve to 23-3 on the season and will face Lakeview Christian Academy in the Section 7A Finals.
