LSC All-Conference Girls Basketball Team Announced

The Lake Superior Conference girls basketball team was announced recently and both Hermantown and Superior have two players on the five-player first team.

Jessica Lindstrom and Hailey Kontny lead the All Lake Superior Conference 1st Team this season. The Superior duo has been a two-person wrecking crew when it comes to leading the Spartans in both offense and defense. Joining the pair from Superior are a pair of players from the Hermantown Hawks. Carmen Bergstedt and Rachael Hoium have wreaked havoc this season on opposing teams. Rounding out the first team was Ashland’s Britt Brennan.

The second team featured another Spartan in Raya Kosey, Hermantown’s Nicole Kucza, Emily Stephenson from Ashland, Avery Bieri of Cloquet and Denfeld’s Leah Hamm.

Named Honorable Mention this year were; Olivia Bretting of Ashland as well as Kyra Harty and Micayla Westendorf of Proctor.
