Named Northland Sports Online Player of The Year

Thomas Rodgers is the Northland Sports Online Player of the year in boy’s high school baseball.

Rodgers a Junior Pitcher and First Baseman was the catalyst of another fine Lumberjack season.

Rodgers, a football player as well, has found his true dominating sport in high school baseball. On the pitcher’s mound he was the leader of a strong pitching staff that led Cloquet to the section finals against Mora for the past two seasons.

Rogers was so dominating on the mound he posted an amazing earned run average of 0.26, allowing only three earned runs and a scant nineteen hits on the season. “An amazing young arm with outstand talent” was what head coach Dennis Walkowiak from Duluth Central said about Rodgers.

Rodgers was also named to the Lake Superior Conference First Team, where he was joined by teammate Thomas Jezierski.

Northland Sports Online would like to congratulate Rodgers on his fine season and wish his success next year as the senior leader of the Lumberjack baseball team.
