Esko Takes Advantage of Proctor Miscues

The Esko Eskomos found themselves trailing the proctor Rails Saturday afternoon by a score of 14-0 at the end of one quarter of play, but the Eskomos rebounded and scored 21 points off four Rails turnovers and scored 28 unanswered before Proctor scored one late touchdown to cut the final margin to 28-21.

The Rails scored twice in the first quarter as Connor St. Germaine returned a punt 65 yards for the games first score, then it was Nick Jauhola hauling in a 4 yard touchdown pass from Evan Checkalaski.

Esko scored their first touchdown in the second quarter when Trevor Spindler picked off a Checkalaski pass and took it 50 yards for the touchdown. Dylan Vinje scored minutes later following another Rails turnover on a 21 yard scamper and the game was tied at 14-14 at the break.

The third quarter saw Eskos Brock house score on a two yard touchdown run and again following another turnover Spindler scored his second touchdown of the game with a 20 yard reception thrown from Vinje.

Proctor added a later touchdown when St. Germaine connected with Cole Johnson on a 23 yard touchdown pass, but that was as close as they would come as Esko’s defense took over late in the fourth stopping the Rails last series of the game.
