With four minutes gone in the second period the Moose Lake Area Rebel boys hockey team led Northern Lakes by a 6-3 score, but then the unthinkable happened, as the Lightning scored nine unanswered goals to eventually win a wild hockey game in Hallett, Minnesota 13-8.

Josh Cisar was incredible for the Rebels by scoring four goals and doing his best to keep his team in the wild affair. After the first period Josh Cisar already had three goals and the Rebels led it 4-3. Cisar scored at 3:34 from Tyler and Jake Cisar, and then Josh scored another goal at 5:59 with Tyler assisting. At 6:51 Aspen Florey got an unassisted tally for the Lightning, but Josh Cisar again scored at 7:26 from Michael Gassert and Tyler Cisar to make it 3-1. At 8:58 it was Connor Chambers for the Lightning followed by another goal for Northern Lakes at 10:05 from Kegan Couture. Jake Cisar closed out the scoring at 16:21 to make it 4-3 with Josh and Tyler Cisar assisting and the Rebels held a 4-3 lead after the opening period.

Michael Gassert made it 5-3 at 2:35 of the second with Jon Evanson and Stephen Gassert adding assists. Tyler Cisar pushed the lead to 6-3 with Josh Cisar assisting and looked like the rout was on. Hit the brakes! What followed was an incredible explosion of scoring by Northern Lakes as like they sometimes do, goals came in bunches. Andy Sorben, Aspen Florey, Gavan Bickford, Ben Moe and Dillon Johnson all scored for the Lightning before the end of the second period! That gave Northern Lakes an 8-6 lead entering the final period.

The Lightning added four straight goals to start the final period as they pushed the lead to 12-6 before the Rebels respond with the fourth goal of the game by Josh Cisar at 11:34, but Northern Lakes bounced back with their final goal from Chambers at 12:13. Scoring finally ended on the night at 12:13 when Jon Evanson pumped home a goal for Moose Lake Area, but the game was well in hand for Northern Lakes by that point.

Gage Moholsky finished with 36 saves on 49 shots for the Rebels, while the Rebels put 45 shots on the Northern Lakes net in the loss.
