LCA Starts Season 2-0

The Lakeview Christian Academy Lions opened up their season with a 85-69 victory over Chisholm on November 30th. They followed that win up with an 83-77 win over Cook County on Monday night.

The Lions trailed 47-38 at halftime, but used a strong second half, outscoring the Vikings 45-30, to move to 2-0 on the young season.

Spicer Johnson and Brandon BarBee led the way for the Lions, scoring 25 and 24 points respectively. Jacob Easty chipped in 18, while Lance Puffer scored 11 in the win. Rounding out the scoring for the Lions was Bennett Easty and Andrew Wright each with two points and Syler Weller with one point.

Ray Gordon led the Vikings with 22 points in the loss. Pete Sutton added 19 points, Will Ramberg scored 14 points, and Jordan Porter chipped in 10 points. Topping the scoring off for the Vikings was Adam Dorr and Daunte Deschampe with five each and Keegan Morrison with two points.

The Lions (2-0) will look to remain perfect on the young season when they host Bigfork (1-0) on December 6th. Cook County is 1-1 on the year.
