Senior shortstop Dalyce Gustafson of Cloquet has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Gustafson, a five-year starter for the Jacks, has a strong arm, powerful bat and is considered one of the top players in the northern part of Minnesota.


As a junior Gustafson batted .542 and scored 36 runs with 22 RBI’s. Her speed and savvy on the basepaths also showed up in the form of 7 triples.

She was among six players who signed with the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Gustafson has been a 3-time All Lake Superior Conference athlete and is also a lead player for the CEC girls hockey team.
