CSS Zyvoloski Named All-American

St. Scholastica junior Anna Zyvoloski (Sauk Rapids, Minn. /St. Cloud Cathedral HS (Minn.-Duluth)) has been named an honorable mention American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III All-American; it was announced on Tuesday.


Zyvoloski becomes the first CSS volleyball player to earn any AVCA Division III All-American accolades. Zyvoloski and the Saints made their first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance this season, advancing to the second round.


Zyvoloski, the 2011 UMAC Player of the Year, led the Saints with 488 kills and 46 service aces and was also second on the team with 446 digs and third with 80 total blocks. She set the single-season program record for points in a season with 583. Her 488 kills led the UMAC and she was in the top seven in the league in service aces and digs.


Zyvoloski recorded 21 double-doubles, including a 20-20 game against the College of Saint Benedict. She ranks in the top 25 nationally in kills per set (3.94) and points per set (4.7). She currently ranks first in program history in career kills per set and points per set.
