St. Scholastica Adds Four Local Track & Field Athletes

DULUTH, Minn. – St. Scholastica Head Men’s and Women’s Track & Field coach Kirk Nauman has announced that four local athletes intend on competing for the Saints this upcoming year.

Women:

Kelsey Mudek – Esko, Minn. / Esko High School

– Five-Year Varsity Track & Field Athlete

– Member of 2011 True Team State Championship Team

– Five-Time All-State Track & Field Selection

– Eight-Time State Qualifier

– 10-Time Section Champion

– 10-Time Sub-Section Champion

– Member of Polar League Championship Team all five years

– Seven-Time Polar League Event Champion

– Seven-Time All Polar League Selection

– School Records in Two Events

– Polar League All-Academic Selection Five Years

– All-State Academic Selection

– Member of National Honor Society

” Kelsey brings a wealth of success both individually and as a member of relay teams at Esko. It takes a lot of hard work and determination to qualify all five years of her MSHSL track & field career. We look for that to continue in college while focusing in the 400 meters and relays.” Stated Nauman

“Steven has been away from track & field for a year when he played football at Minnesota, Crookston. He is a good athlete and we are hoping to develop into a quality collegiate sprinter.” Stated Nauman
