The AMSOIL Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin is excited to announce a new event on the 2011 racing schedule to take place on Tuesday night, August 16th featuring the 410 Outlaw All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars!. The All Star Circuit of Champions is a long standing sister organization to the World of Outlaws and in fact features drivers that have been beating the Outlaw drivers on a consistent basis thus far in 2011.

Drivers expected to appear include King’s Royal winner Tyler Walker, series point leader and three time series champion Dave Blaney. Two time and defending series champ Tim Schaffer, Stevie Smith, Daryn Pittman, former Northern Nationals champion Danny Smith and 2010 All Star rookie of the year Cap Henry, 2010 Knoxville Nationals rookie of the year David Gravel, Greg Wilson and Jessica Zemken, who is the current girlfriend of NASCAR star Tony Stewart and runs the #14 TSR Sprint car.

The All Star Circuit of Champions will be in action the following night at the Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, North Dakota and will feature Tony Stewart in action, so this show was a perfect fit in the travel schedule for the All Stars and most likely for Stewart on their way to Fargo. The event will feature the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints as well as the WISSOTA Super Stocks and WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds and should be the fastest laps ever turned at the Superior, Wisconsin red clay oval.

The All Star Circuit of Champions will embark on their inaugural Thunder Through The Plains eight-race tour which leads the winged warriors to not only the Amsoil Speedway in Superior and the Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND, but also to the famed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, IA, the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, IA for the front row challenge, the Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, SD, and the Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The Amsoil Speedway event will pay the winner $5,000 and plans to become an annual event.

Track Promoter Joe Stariha said, “The Head of the Lakes Management Group is extremely excited to bring this type of racing to Amsoil Speedway in our first year of operations. We have always prided ourselves on being one of the fastest tracks in the Upper Midwest, so now our fans will get to see exactly what types of speeds that these 410 Sprints can reach.” Adding “This show should be awesome!”

Race Director Chris Stepan added, “With the recent sudden cancellation by the IRA Sprints of our July show, our open wheel fans were left with a void and this will more than make up for it. The All Stars will be sure to thrill the crowd in this first of its kind event and will more than likely set new track records when they come to town.” Stepan went on to mention, “I mean, Tyler Walker just won the King’s Royal at Eldora and its guys like that who will be coming to town for this show!”

With the World of Outlaws competing nearby at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND on Friday night of that week, the likelihood to see names like Kinser, Lasoski, McCarl and Schatz is very possible as well.

Adult ticket prices (13 and older) for this event will be $30, while children 12 and under are always free at the Amsoil Speedway. Pit passes for all competitors and crew members will be $35. Hot laps will begin at 6:30 with time trials and racing to follow.

Fans and drivers should note that due to the addition of this event on Tuesday, August 16th, the previously scheduled topless event on Tuesday, August 2nd has been removed from the schedule.
