Hermantown Falls To Osseo

The Hermantown Hawks played host to the Osseo Orioles on Saturday afternoon, falling in the tough matchup, 98-79.

The Hawks trailed at halftime, 48-38, but they’d attempt to battle back, but wouldn’t succeed as they were outscored 50-41 in the 2nd half, en route to a 19 point loss to the Orioles of Osseo.

Nate Soumis led the way for the Hawks in the loss, scoring 18. Also in double digits for the Hawks was Christian Comstock who tallied 14, Zack Brendon who added 13, and Thomas Madison who pitched in 11. Also scoring in the loss was Isaac Hiner with 6, Nick Bostrom with 5, Jordan Senegal adding 4, Caleb Steinert and Cody McShane each with 3, and David Birkeland with 2.

Zach Theisen led the Orioles to victory with 28 points. Damario Armstrong added 16, and John Bezdicek and Mar Mar Hughes added 12 and 11 respectively.

The Hawks start their season 0-2 and will search for their first victory of the year when they host the Duluth East Greyhounds on December 1st. Tip-off will be at 7:15pm
