Local Runners at State Cross Country

Several local runners participated in the state Cross Country meet Saturday in Northfield Minnesota at St. Olaf College.

 

Carlton Bulldogs junior Erika Fox finished fourth in the girls class A race, as she led the northland runners.  Fox timed in with 18 minutes, 46.7 seconds in the 5,000 meter race. The first of its kind for girls.

Carlton’s other girl runner, Brittny Hillstrom, finished in 55th place with a time of 20:26.1

Cloquet’s Isaac Boedigheimer, a junior, was tops in local boys AA, fishing with a time of 16:13.8 good for 32nd place.

Cook County-Two Harbors sophomore Jake Paron was tops in the northland for boys single A, as he took 10th in class A, finishing with a time of 16:34.1.

Ely boys team finished in 14th place, while the girls team took home 12th in class A runs.

Duluth East had both boys and girls teams qualify for state, as the boys raced to 15th place, and the girls finishing in 12th.
