Makayla Suominen Sets Two LSC Records

C-E-C Freshman Makayla Suominen set two conference and pool records Saturday at the Lake Superior Conference Meet in Superior.  Suominen set both pool and conference records in the 50 and 100 freestyle.

Denfeld claims 1st place at LSC conference meet, Cloquet-Esko-Carlton claims over-all LSC title.

At Saturday’s LSC girls swim and dive conference meet held at Superior High School, Denfeld won the meet with a score of 320. Cloquet-Esko-Carlton was second with 304, Superior was third with 232 and Proctor-Hermantown was 4th with 212.

Coming into the conference meet, the conference dual meets placed C-E-C in 1st place, SHS in 2nd, Denfeld in 3rd and P-H in 4th. (Homer you had a tie between Den and P/H, coaches agreed P/H was in 4th and record was wrong.) The overall conference championship is determined by a combination of the dual season and conference meet results. Final conference standing is C-E-C 1st, Denfeld and SHS tied for 2nd and P-H 4th.
