Bryceton Butkiewicz scored four times and Thomas Hansen added two touchdown runs as the Rebels rolled into their 12th consecutive section final.

The Rebels have won their last 9 straight section final contests including a win over Crosby-Ironton a year ago at Public School Stadium in Duluth.

Butkiewicz scored on rushing touchdowns from 2, 1, 5, and 9 yards Saturday while Hansen finished with two scores one of 4 yards which put MLWR on the board in the first quarter, and the later in the fourth quarter he broke away on a 99 yard touchdown run tying a school record.

The Rebels opened a 41-6 lead in the fourth before the Tigers scored late to make the final score closer then it actually was.

The Rebels will face Eveleth-Gilbert in the section 7AA finals on Thursday in Esko.

The last time the Rebels lost in a section title game was to Esko back in 2005 at UMD.
