Caari Toivari put the Virginia Blue Devils on her shoulders and carried them to a 7-6 come-from-behind win on Monday night over the Cloquet Lumberjacks in a high school softball game played in Virginia.

Toivari bashed a pair of homers which included a 3-run homer that tied the game and then a 2-run walk off homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to give her team the win.

Lizz Jezierski, junior catcher for Cloquet, continued her torrid hitting streak this spring by smacking out 3 hits in 3 at bats. She also had a triple and 3-RBIs and scored a run. Senior Katie Schulz also had a pair of hits for Cloquet.

Senior pitcher Denise Rodd took the loss on the mound while striking out four and giving up 12 hits and walking three.
